Great Trees, Great Kids, Great Stories Do you or your school have a "Great Tree"? Tell us what makes it great. Is it the oldest tree in your community or campus? Does it have historical importance to your community or family? Tell us about it! Third grade students of the Fort Worth ISD participated in a Great Tree Story Essay contest and want to share their winning stories with you. Connect to The Botanical Research Institute of Texas on Thursday, May 8th, at 10:30 am to meet the winning student authors, their classmates and teachers. Joining them will be Leslie Gordon, the author of the charming Children's’ book, The Homeless Christmas Tree. Her tree story proves that greatness isn’t necessarily about size. Her little tree on a hill top in East Fort Worth has come to care for many needy people. You have the option of connecting as a view only audience or we encourage you to interact with us and share your great trees, your great kids, and your great stories! |
