Connection Options

Each provider on the Connect2Texas site bridges through a Education Service Center located in Texas for their connections.

The Connect2Texas content enhancement and professional development programs are delivered via two-way audio/two-way video interactive videoconferencing. All connections utilize standards-based H.323 technology; these are NOT webinars or webcasts. In some instances a provider may choose to offer access via streaming and/or other non-interactive methods, but they will make that communication to their clients on a case-by-case basis

If you do not have H.323 standards-based videoconferencing equipment (Tandberg, Polycom, LifeSize, etc.) then a desktop solution is available. The desktop solution will require internet access, a computer or laptop, data projector/screen or large TV, webcam and a echo canceling microphone. Click here to see equipment recommendations. Education Service Center Region XI does charge $50 per day to use the desktop solution and that is separate from any provider's program fee.
